for police

It seems like ages since I've shot any Polaroids, so I went out and attempted a few over the weekend.

I've gotten some decent shots with this cheap 600 camera, but I think I'm going to send it back to the thrift store and make the SX-70 my primary Polaroid. More/better control, no dedicated flash, and I prefer the look of the SX-70 film to the 779 (which is supposed to be higher res than standard 600, and it is, but still - SX-70 film has a richness that I really like).

I hope this isn't too dark ... my scanner is not exactly top of the line.

I like it even if it is too dark.

This is from a day of experimental goofing off with a roll of Ilford SFX, which is pseudo-infrared film. I found out after I bought it that it produces better results if you use a red filter, but I didn't feel like spending any money on a filter so I stuck it in my Lomo Colorsplash and used the red flash filter. I did get some interesting shots which, while not quite having the spooky-cool qualities of infrared images, nevertheless look slightly more warped than straight black and white.

'til we bury every dream in the cold, cold ground

I've been working on a five-photo project for school (illustrate a song with photographs) and I finally (almost) finished it tonight (I still have to nail down two of the photos - literally. They're nailed to slabs of wood adorned with metal. I'll try to post pics of the finished product when I get my digicam back.).

This is the final image of the five and, I think, my favorite.
